Overview

This month, Qually Talks is talking recruiting! Field SIG chair and expert project manager Jessica Kurth will be hosting a round-table discussion about changes we’ve seen in recruiting since COVID-19.

How has the pandemic impacted respondent expectations about participating in research? Or has the natural passage of time itself led to the changes we’re seeing?

When you think about recruiting participants, what differences or changes have you experienced in respondent behavior across the past few years regarding…?
• Incentive amounts or expectations
• Commuting behavior to/from locations
• Past participants
• Participation rates for different methodologies (i.e., shopalongs, virtual interviews, in-facility sessions)
• Show rates

When thinking about requests from upstream clients, what difference or changes have you seen in…?
• Level of detail in specs
• Requests for respondent mixes
• Scope of screener

Come with your own topics and questions to share with the group! This will be your opportunity to probe your fellow Quallies about everything you’ve wanted to know about recruiting but were afraid to ask.

It’s also a great opportunity to debrief from QRCA’s Recruiting Month, which featured fieldwork-focused programming throughout September.

What are Qually Talks?
Qually Talks are member-only virtual meetings to network and discuss what's on your mind in addition to specific topics chosen by the moderator. Join your fellow Quallies to learn and expand your network!
