Innovations in technology — AI, data scrapping, etc. — are nipping at the heels of what qualitative researchers do. How can the qualitative researcher skills be seen as irreplaceable? By focusing on the upfront conceptual part of how research is designed. Conceptual Thinking challenges some of the givens of research design. It incorporates Susan’s original thinking about how we should approach making baseline assumptions. Susan will share some of her techniques, including Counterintuitive Thinking, Cognitive Demographics, Gamification Mindset, and Narrative Economics. You will come away with new ways to reframe how you make baseline assumptions.
