Overview

Since 2011, QRCA has found a way to honor our creative problem solvers with a unique industry award, The QRCA Award for Excellence in Qualitative Research (more affectionately known as the “Qually” Award), recognizes industry innovation and qualitative best practices. Our newest format of the Award comes in the form of assisting a live-client pro-bono. Our inaugural client, The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation, appreciated the opportunity to engage. "Thanks to Lauren and Cherri's research, our organization was able to answer questions that we have been curious about for years." Last year's winners, Lauren Isaacson and Cherri Christiansen, have also been nominated for the 2023 Quirk's Marketing Research and Insight Excellence Virtual Awards for the Nonprofit/ Social Enterprise category based on this work.

Our 2023 client is the Children's Theatre of Charlotte. A non-profit in our Annual Conference host city of Charlotte, NC. In this session, finalists will present their qualitative research solution to the client and a team of QRCA judges. The winner will be awarded the project to work on pro-bono, assisted with a donation budget for out-of-pocket expenses. The work will begin in early 2023 and will be honored during the Awards Luncheon on Thursday March 23rd.

All are welcome to attend this session to support the QRCA Qually Award Finalists:

Pair: Antonio Lopez and Tasheenah Brown from Lightbeam Communications

Individual: Shelly Singh from Soup Insights

Attendees will experience how two teams of qualitative researchers approach a real client problem and their research design and approach!
