A big part of leveling up in my UXR career had to do with taking initiative and teaching myself new methods and skills by finding the right materials to read (events to attend, etc.), as well as leveraging opportunities. Having been the only and first in-house UX researcher at a couple of different companies, I can speak to the experience of building the practice from the ground up. In my session, I will cover what differentiates a senior level approach to research from a junior level approach, as well as the importance of reflecting on your work in order to become more strategic and pave the way for growth.
